Fall in Weld, Maine
The colors in Maine this day are at peak. Bus loads of tourists wind through the mountain passes enjoying the fall ritual of "leaf peeping." Soon, however, the buses will disappear from the roadways and November, our favorite month, will arrive with the "nothing that is not there and the nothing that is."

Beautiful. It looks like art.
In Denmark November is the worst. Grey and cold. A Danish poet has written:
The year has 16 months. November, December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, November, November, November.
Ha! I love that poet line. But, really Mette, I do love November of all the months--there's so much of that in between time--just after the colors, just before the snows. Dark-gray tree limbs and empty still woods... Ah, and Thanksgiving!
Rich, You love dark-gray tree limbs and empty still woods..... You must be older than 30!
