During the 2008-2009 school year, international students Alexander Szeps of Sweden and Peter Krause-Kjaer of Denmark will live in Rumford, Maine USA in the home of Rich Kent. Stay tuned for Alexander and Peter's excellent adventure in the wild woods of Maine.

Peter: Your mother will be so happy! But don't worry, you will forget how to make the bed the second you set foot on Danish ground! :o)
Katrine (who learned to make her bed in Michigan 11 years ago - but can't remember how...)
Hey Katrine--
Trust me, it won't last here either, but we can hope. Peter's "A" slipped to a C+ when he forgot to shut off the living room lights last night. In the great scheme of things, as we say, "It's all good." It's fun to hear about your experiences in Michigan--that's where Alex's twin brother is. Keep blogging and maybe we'll get Peter invested in this thing. All the best--Rich
Obviously, American teachers are more generous with grades than Scandinavians. Here Peter would receive a C- and Alexander, an F, for sure. I seriously question your grading capability, Rich
Michael
You nailed it, Michael. Truth be told, I don't grade; I write narrative responses to performance in the form of letters. But not in this instance-->my bad. However, had I written, the word "dump" would have found its way into a letter re: the boys' bedroom. But, as I wrote to Katrine: it's all good. There are far more important issues and on those accounts, both boys fare well... very well.
